Quick Tip: Create Colorful Multi-Color Lettering in Creativate Embroidery Software

Want each letter in your embroidery text to be a different color? It's easier than you might think — and it all comes down to one checkbox.

The Trick: Uncheck Color Sort Before You Apply

By default, Creativate's Lettering feature uses Color Sort, which groups all letters of the same color together to reduce thread changes. That's great for efficiency — but it means every letter ends up the same color.

To create individual color blocks for each letter:

1. Open the Lettering feature and type your text
2. Before clicking Apply, uncheck the Color Sort box
3. Clique Aplicar

Each letter will now be its own separate color block, making it simple to go back and assign a different thread color to each one individually.

Font Used in This Example

This style was created using Sans UC 20–50mm from the Modern category — a clean, bold uppercase font that really makes multi-color lettering pop.

Project inspiration: These colorful personalized letters were used to embroider bed sheets for Oliwia's doll — a small but delightful custom touch that made them feel truly special.
