Design Custom Embroidery with the Digitizing Wizard in CREATIVATE™ Software (formerly known as mySewnet™)

Ready to bring your own artwork to life with embroidery? The Digitizing Wizard in CREATIVATE™ Software (formerly known as mySewnet™) makes it simple to turn your favorite images into stitch-ready designs.

 

Why Use the Digitizing Wizard?

With this powerful tool, you can:

  • Start with any image or drawing

  • Automatically convert it into stitches using satin, fill, and outline options

  • Easily edit and customize your design in just a few clicks

Open a Blank Canvas
Set your hoop to 360x260mm (Rotated) for this project.

 

 
Go to the Create Tab > Digitizing
This will launch the Digitizing Module in a separate window.

 

 

  • The Express Design Wizard will pop up, offering you several starting options:

    • Create Express Embroidery: Auto-generate embroidery using satin and fill stitches from your image.

    • Trace Outlines Only: Generate outlines with running or satin stitch.

    • Add Borders or Appliqué: Apply satin, motif, or running stitch borders around filled areas.

    • Load Image for Reference: Use your own image as a guide while creating a new design.

    • Edit an Existing Outline: Open and modify a previously digitized outline.

    • Start from Scratch: Begin with no background image.

 

Next step, choose Create Express Embroidery and use a monochrome image to test the tools.

 

Step-by-Step: Creating Your Design

  1. Click Next to start.

  2. In the Crop Window, refine your image.

  3. Click Next, then choose Design Size:

    • Use Fit to Hoop or manually enter size settings.

    • Only one option (Hoop or Size) will be editable at a time.

 


 

 

Edit and Refine Your Design

Once your image has been digitized, you can:

  • Adjust points around shapes to improve the stitch path.

  • Change the angle of fill stitches to suit your design.

  • Right-click to change fill patterns or switch to another style.

 

 

 

Save and Export Your Work

  • Go to File > Save As to save a fully editable .edo file for future adjustments.

  • Need to stitch on your machine?
    Use Export to choose from a list of compatible file formats for your embroidery machine.
