How do I download CREATIVATE from the Microsoft Store?
Sign in to the Microsoft Store with your Microsoft account (or create one for free). Then search for CREATIVATE™ and click Get to download it.
Why is CREATIVATE now only available from the Microsoft Store?
The Microsoft Store makes installing CREATIVATE easier, more secure, and ensures you get automatic updates as soon as they're available.
Will my info and settings transfer to the new version from the Microsoft Store?
If you're using version 5.1 or earlier, your settings, added machines, and custom materials won’t carry over to version 5.2 from the Store. But once you start using the Store version, all future updates will keep your info.
How can I move my info from my current version to version 5.2?
There's no direct way to transfer info from version 5.1 or older. You'll need to reselect your measurement settings, re-add your machines, and manually recreate any custom materials. We suggest writing them down before switching to 5.2.

Why can't I access the Cloud from the website right now?
We’re currently working on bringing Cloud access back to the website—thanks for your patience while we rebuild this feature!
In the meantime, don’t worry—your Cloud-enabled machine still works just fine and will continue to sync with your saved files.
You can also keep adding files to your Cloud folder by going through Vault. Just pick a file in Vault, then look for the File Options menu on the right. Click the “...” icon, and you’ll see an option to upload it to your Creativate Cloud. Once uploaded, it will sync automatically to your machine.

My computer crashed and I bought a new one. How can I remove the registration of my crashed computer?
To remove the registration from your crashed computer, follow these steps:
- Visit CREATIVATE.com and log in (click the "Login" button at the top right corner).
- Navigate to the My Account section.
- Click on Machines.
- Under the "CREATIVATE-enabled devices" section, find the old computer and click "Sign out of this device".
- When the pop-up appears, select the Delete button to confirm.
I can't see the embroidery designs in my folder, I can only see icons. What should I do?
Make sure you downloaded and installed the Explorer plug-in on your computer. You will find it on the download page here. If you still have an issue, make sure you are not connected to OneDrive.
How can I change my address?
You can change your address on the My Account page.
- Go to CREATIVATE.com and log in (on the top right corner).
- Select My Account.
- Under Personal Information, select Edit.
Is CREATIVATE Embroidery Software compatible with MAC computers?
Yes! CREATIVATE Embroidery Software works on both PC and MAC. You can choose to register your software on up to two devices.
Do I get updates to CREATIVATE Embroidery Software?
With a membership, you will have access to the latest software features for your membership level, if you install the most recent updates.The boxed CREATIVATE Embroidery Software version includes the features listed on the box, plus bug and maintenance fixes, as well as updates that support accessories such as hoops or the embellishment attachments.
If I have enrolled in the month-to-month Membership subscription, does it automatically renew with a credit card on file or do I have to renew each month manually?
With a month-to-month membership, it is renewed automatically.
Do I need a CREATIVATE Account to use CREATIVATE Embroidery Software?
Yes, you can easily create a free CREATIVATE Basic Account to leverage free features and to subscribe or activate the boxed CREATIVATE Embroidery Software you might have purchased in the store.
How often does the software need to connect to verify the subscription?
Every 30 days.
We recommend staying connected to the internet as often as possible to take advantage of live content, such as CREATIVATE Design Catalog and Blog,Vault, and automatic updates to CREATIVATE Embroidery Software.
If you haven’t been online by the end of 30 days, CREATIVATE Embroidery Software will start up in "Basic" mode.
Don’t worry, as soon as you go back online, it will revert back to your membership level.
You will also need to be online for the following:
- When creating a CREATIVATE Account, signing up for a Membership, or redeeming a code from a promotion or dealer purchase.
- When downloading CREATIVATE Embroidery Software, installing, and activating it (both for box and subscription versions).
- When installing and activating CREATIVATE Embroidery Software purchased through a retailer (the "boxed" version).
- When starting CREATIVATE Embroidery Software for the first time.
How do I delete my CREATIVATE account?
- At the top right, click Sign In (or My Account if you're already signed in).
- Click 'Account Management' and then ‘Delete Account and Subscription’ button.
- Click ‘Confirm Deletion’ button to complete the process.
How many computers can I activate CREATIVATE embroidery software on?
Two. If you're trying to install a third device, you'll be asked to deactivate one of the other two.
- Log into CREATIVATE.
- Select My Account.
- Select Machines.
- Under the "CREATIVATE-enabled devices," select "Sign out of this device" for the old computer.
- Select the delete button when the pop-up appears.
What are the benefits of a membership versus buying the software outright?
Purchasing the embroidery software lets you make a one-time purchase so you can keep it forever, free of monthly charges. On the other hand, opting for a CREATIVATE membership ensures you always have access to the latest version of the embroidery software, complete with regularly enhanced features.
Is my machine CREATIVATE-enabled?
CREATIVATE Design Catalog assets, CREATIVATE Vault transfers, automatic machine updates, and some other functionalities require a CREATIVATE-enabled machine.

Some of the above machines may state that they are mySewnet enabled, either on the machine itself, or in the sewing machine's firmware. Don't worry, mySewnet-enabled machines still work with all CREATIVATE memberships and features.
Do I need to enter a credit card to get a free CREATIVATE account?
No, a credit card is only needed for the paid membership levels.

How can I get the embroidery designs from the CREATIVATE Design Catalog to the Embroidery Software?
If you have a CREATIVATE membership, you can click the "paper plane" icon to send embroidery designs between your CREATIVATE-enabled devices, the CREATIVATE Design Catalog, and CREATIVATE Embroidery Software.
To combine and edit multiple embroidery designs in CREATIVATE Embroidery Software, the easiest method is to save them all to your Vault and access them from there.
How can I change my membership to upgrade or downgrade?
Log in to your account and choose a diiferent memberships on your account dashboard. If you're looking to upgrade boxed software, please contact your dealer directly.
Is my machine compatible?
CREATIVATE Embroidery Software is compatible with most embroidery machines on the market. You can export designs into the following file formats:

If I have purchased a 12-month CREATIVATE membership from a dealer, does it automatically renew with a credit card on file or do I have to renew it manually?
At the end of the purchased 12-month period, your membership will end. You will receive an email reminder to revisit your dealer to purchase another 12-month membership or convert to a monthly membership.

Do I need a CREATIVATE membership to use the boxed software I purchase?
No, if you purchase a copy of CREATIVATE Embroidery Software 2021 to own, you do not need a monthly membership. Just simply create a free Basic CREATIVATE account and activate your copy to download and use it.
Do I have access to CREATIVATE Design Catalog if I purchase a copy of CREATIVATE Embroidery Software 2021 to own?
Yes, you can always access the CREATIVATE Design Catalog with a free Basic account. However, to get full, unlimited use of all 9,000-plus designs in the CREATIVATE Design Catalog, you'll need a membership.
Where can I find instructions on how to use CREATIVATE Embroidery Software?

Can I use CREATIVATE Embroidery Software with my SINGER MOMENTO Craft Cutting Machine?
No. Currently, embroidery designs cannot be sent to cut on the MOMENTO Craft Cutting machine.
Is CREATIVATE Crafting Software the same as the CREATIVATE Embroidery Software?
They are similar, but cannot be used interchangeably. The embroidery software and designs are to be used with sewing machines. The new crafting software empowers your SINGER MOMENTO crafting machine.
What do I do if CREATIVATE Crafting Software does not automatically detect my machine via WiFi?
Ensure both your computer or tablet and the machine are connected to the same WiFi network.
Try the manual WiFi setup:
- On your machine, tap the gear icon in the upper right corner to access Settings. Select WiFi to view the current network and the machine's IP address.
- If you're unable to connect wirelessly, you can always connect using a USB cable.
- Make sure you are connected to a 2.4 GHz WiFi network — not a 5 GHz network.
Can I use CREATIVATE Crafting Software across multiple computers and/or tablets?
Yes, as projects and designs are able to be saved to the Vault, you can access your saved projects and images from any compatible computer or tablet where you can log in to your CREATIVATE account.
Can I use CREATIVATE Crafting Software offline?
Yes, but if the software is offline, you cannot send a design to the machine and you cannot download a design to CREATIVATE Vault.
How can I tell what CREATIVATE desktop software version I have?
For both Windows and Mac
- From the software home screen, click the settings icon in the top-right corner.
- Select “About”. The software version is listed in the top-right corner.

Mac:
- Start your CREATIVATE Embroidery Software.
- In the top-left corner, click ‘CREATIVATE Embroidery’ and then ‘About CREATIVATE Embroidery’ at the top of the list.
- The version number is shown in the pop-up. Example: 1.7.0 (1284).
Windows:
- Start the CREATIVATE Embroidery Software.
- On the main canvas where you see the hoop preview: Click the ‘Help’ tab at the top.
- Click ‘About CREATIVATE Embroidery’. A pop-up will show the version number. Example: 1.6.0 (1144).
I own an older software. Can I upgrade my CREATIVATE Embroidery Software 2021?
Yes, there is a full upgrade plan from older versions to the CREATIVATE Embroidery Software 2021. You can go a local dealer to purchase a updated software bundle or purchase a monthly subscription to unlock all the features here.
Can I cancel at anytime?
Yes, if you cancel your membership, you will still have the access until the expiration of the current membership period.
How can I change my credit card?
To update your credit card information, follow these steps:
- Visit CREATIVATE.com and log in (click the "Login" button at the top right corner).
- Navigate to the My Account section.
- Click on Payments and select Edit to update your credit card details.
What should I do if I see both names (CREATIVATE and mySewnet) in some places?
During this transition period, you may see both names used. Don’t worry—it’s still us! We’ll be gradually updating everything to reflect the new name.
Are there any changes to the software, app, or machine compatibility?
None! The software, apps, cloud sync, and machine integrations remain the same. The only thing changing is the name and branding. All free designs will be accessible on all machines and all Premium designs will only be available for CREATIVATE-enabled machines.
Will my mySewnet account or login details change?
No. You’ll still log in the same way, using the same account credentials. All your projects, preferences, and settings will carry over automatically.
I’m a current mySewnet subscriber. Will my subscription be affected?
Not at all. Your subscription, access, and saved content will continue without interruption. You don’t need to do anything—your experience will remain seamless.
What is Capture the Mat?
Capture the Mat lets you take a photo of your material on the cutting mat using your phone or tablet. That photo becomes your design canvas, so you can place and adjust your project exactly where you want it before cutting or drawing with the SINGER® MOMENTO™ Craft Cutting Machine. Why should I use Capture the Mat?
It helps you see exactly where your images and text will be cut or drawn. This is great for:
- Cutting around specific patterns or designs (fussy cutting)
- Making use of scraps of fabric by placing and cutting out shapes
- Cutting multiple colors of material on the same mat
- Writing in specific spots on envelopes or cards
What if my photo won’t capture?
Try these steps:
- Make sure the mat is on a plain, contrasting background. Use a sheet of paper or fabric behind the mat if needed.
- Improve lighting - avoid shadows or dim areas.
- Make sure the entire mat is lying flat, including the edges.
- Keep material fully on the mat, leaving a little space between the ruler and the material.
- Hold your phone or tablet level and steady.
- Make sure the whole mat fits inside the red frame in the app. The frame turns green when it’s lined up.
- Use the red dot level guide—tilt your device until the red dot fits into the center circle and turns green.
What if my phone doesn’t show up as a device to capture the photo?
Make sure that:
- You have updated to the latest version of the CREATIVATE App
- You’re on the home screen of the app and not in any of the spaces
If your phone still won’t show up, try closing the app on your phone and reopening it.
How accurate is Capture the Mat?
We’ve worked hard to make Capture the Mat as accurate as possible. Please note there could be up to a couple mm difference from where you place your design on your material and where it cuts or draws. It’s important to get as accurate of a capture as possible, so please follow the tips we’ve provided. We also recommend leaving a little buffer of material around where you place your design, if possible.
Any tips for getting the best results?
Yes! Here are a few:
- Place the mat on a plain, solid-colored background that contrasts with the mat color. Avoid patterns like wood grain or carpet.
- Keep a small gap between the edge of your material and the edge of the mat.
- Make sure the area is well-lit for clearer photos and faster capture.
What devices can I use with Capture the Mat?
You can design using Capture the Mat on tablet and desktop computer. If you’re on a tablet, you’ll use the tablet’s camera to capture the mat, then finish designingin the CREATIVATE App. If you’re on a Windows or Mac computer, you’ll use your phone to take the photo (requires the latest app version), then finish designing on the computer.
What types of material can I use with Capture the Mat?
You can user Capture the Mat for any material supported by SINGER® MOMENTO™.
Note: if you’re using Heat Transfer Vinyl, at this time Capture the Mat will not work for cutting out text because the design will need to “flip” once you get to the Craft Project Screen. If you’re using Heat Transfer Vinyl just to cut out general shapes or non-text designs, then select “Vinyl” as the material type when you reach that step.
Will Capture the Mat work with all cutting mats?
It works with all SINGER® MOMENTO™ cutting mat sizes and grip levels. For best results, we recommend using the 12x12 mat.
