How to Sew Laser Stitches - Part 2
Create Custom Embellishments Using Laser Stitches on the DESIGNER EPIC™ II
Laser Stitches (Menu “I” on the DESIGNER EPIC™ II) allow you to create beautiful, large decorative patterns using stitch “building blocks.” By combining stitches, mirroring, and programming, you can make endless variations—straight or curved—guided by the machine’s built-in Laser Guide.
What You Need
- HUSQVARNA® VIKING® DESIGNER EPIC™ II
- Fabric
- Stabilizer
- Thread (desired color)
- Fabric marking pen
- Presser Foot S
The Principle of Laser Stitches
Laser Stitches are designed so you can build your own large decorative pattern by combining stitches found in Menu I.
Why they’re special:
- Each stitch acts like a building block
- You can mirror, repeat, or reorder stitches to create unique patterns
- The Laser Guidance helps you maintain perfect alignment
- The machine automatically stops at the end of each repetition, giving you time to realign or make changes
- You can instantly mirror or change stitches during sewing
⭐ Pro Tips
- Sew each repetition until the machine stops automatically
- Use the Start/Stop button for smooth, consistent stitching
- Deactivate Automatic FIX (stitches connect continuously—no need to fix at each start)
- Turn on Needle Down for better fabric control
Preparations
